Although I don’t personally have so many ventures into this branch, at least not successful ones, poetry is an important part of literary nutrition. Whether you write it or read it, you need it. Poetry deserves a salad. It’s a dish that’s light as a breeze, bursting crunchy under your teeth as a sudden realization of mortality in the middle of a hot summer day by the pool, and healthy for your artistic palate as all the freshness it brings in a bowl. Poetry is all about letting the introspection to take over, so having a gentle, majorly vegetable dish will be great for inspiration. Continue reading “Food for Writing – Poetry”
It was night. The station was empty. She was sitting at the platform, waiting for the last bus to arrive. Light wind caressed her hair, easing the hot summer darkness. She moved her fingers across the ticket, given to her by a hand and a bottom of a chin, peeking under the tinted glass of the desk window. Her transportation was supposed to show up in ten minutes. Still, she felt as if she wouldn’t mind waiting there for all eternity. At least it was quiet.
A few moments later, she noticed a fog under the bench she was sitting on, seemingly coming out of nowhere, as if the concrete platform itself was fuming. In the corner of her eye, to her left, she could see a figure approaching her. The person placed themselves next to her, sighing loudly to announce their presence.

Sometimes you just need a nice view to know that there is something beyond the edge of the woods.

This is going to be a bit of a rant. It’s been on my mind for a while, and now I think I’ve finally found the words of it. However, I cannot say what follows has a perfect essay structure. To be honest, it’s just going to be me spilling my thoughts and emotions on a virtual piece of paper, published in an online space which sometimes feels like clouds, puffed into the sky to stay there as long as we find them interesting. Continue reading “Reasons Why”
For writing literary fiction, I like to have something simple, yet powerful that will make me energetic and full. So, what feels best in situations like those is yogurt baked pasta cake. It’s simple to make, yet very satisfying. You might wonder why I didn’t give literary fiction something more wholesome or sophisticated perhaps. That’s because I truly think that literary fiction should be familiar, but at the same time, a bit heavy to digest until you get used to it, just like life this genre is supposed to depict. It’s simple to make, but accomplishes a lot once it’s ready to be served. Continue reading “Food for Writing – Literary Fiction”

Strangely enough, this old friend of mine, who kindly taught me how to type back in the day, brings out so much from me. Maybe it’s the vintage vibe, or nostalgia, or who knows what. But, as a writer, somehow, my thoughts don’t feel like they’re at home anywhere else, the ideas don’t breathe as easily, but in front of this chest of inspiration.

So, when I decided to become a writer, I didn’t realize I would have to start from the actual beginning. Back to basics, I guess.

This short film was a product of what my friends and I joked about after watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens back in 2015. It was a movie that pumped new strength into Star Wars, but more importantly, it gave us a possible relationship we could get excited about. Although it wasn’t confirmed in The Last Jedi and perhaps there won’t be a closure in The Rise of Skywalker either, Finn and Poe together still gave us a compelling story and could totally work as a couple. So, in honour of this year’s Pride Month, I give you Pinn. Continue reading “Pinn”
My website is now basically empty, just as it was when I started it in the first place. It feels really liberating. The reason why I did it? Let’s just say that I had some time of introspection and I wanted a new beginning, a fresh start. There’s nothing like the sense of freedom, I can tell you that.
Recently, events, especially unpleasant ones, have been coming one after another and I’ve had just about enough of it. The faces of the environment that I’ve found myself in showed themselves to me, I’ve seen them all and I didn’t like any. So, I decided to move on. The people I’ve met along the way, I’m grateful I got a chance to interact with them. They’ve taught me both the good and the bad. But, most importantly, I learned to go on my own way.
So, I decided to start anew. The content is not going to be the same, because, honestly, I’ve changed, so my themes will take another form as well. Website and blog will include posts about different topics, some will be about writing, others will be just about getting through the day, and then, because I can’t really stop myself, there will be a few of highly ideological and ideally-oriented ones. Also, I’m planning on starting a podcast about reading and writing. You’re all welcome to join me on this new journey that I’m taking.
